Breaking News: GoldenHeart Debuts on Billboard’s Top 10 R&B Albums, #2 Top HeatSeeker

We cannot express how stoked we are to see our newest album, GoldenHeart by Dawn Richard, debut on Billboard’s Top 10 R&B Albums and 22^nd on R&B/Hip-Hop Albums! To top that, GoldenHeart is #2 on Billboard’s HeatSeekers Albums.

This amazing accomplishment is the culmination of months of hard work and countless leaps of faith. In just the first week of her album release tour, Ms. Richard went from New York City and Philly to Atlanta and Vienna, Austria to promote her first ever solo LP. Her schedule has been non-stop: SOBs for her album release concert, interviews with Hot97, Sway in the Morning, Glamour, JET (tip of iceberg), the famous J&R for an in-store performance and signing, then FYE for Philadelphia and DBS Sounds in Atlanta for CD signings. Before the month’s end, she will find her way back home to NoLa where she’ll pay a visit to Clear Channel’s Uptown Angela, Xavier University, and the legendary Peaches Record Store. Did I mention GoldenHeart premiered at the top of iTunes-R&B/Soul Chart? Or that she’s the #2 New Artist on Nielsen SoundScan? That did just happen.

What a great testament to the power of Independent Artists taking control of their careers and obtaining direct distribution to their fans. Maroon 5 in the Music That Changes The World Special Limited Edition Box Set

The David Lynch Foundation announced plans today to release the physical version of DOWNLOAD FOR GOOD: MUSIC THAT CHANGES THE WORLD as a SPECIAL LIMITED EDITION BOX SET to celebrate Record Store Day, Saturday April 21, 2012. You can check out the official press release here.

MUSIC THAT CHANGES THE WORLD is a deluxe, four-volume vinyl collection featuring 34 exclusive tracks by world-renowned artists such as Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Donovan, Iggy Pop, Peter Gabriel, Moby, Maroon 5, Ozomatli and others.

Originally released in mid-July 2011 via iTunes as DOWNLOAD FOR GOOD, the MUSIC THAT CHANGES THE WORLD, SPECIAL LIMITED EDITION BOX SET is a wonderfully eclectic, star-studded vinyl music compilation benefitting the David Lynch Foundation—a non-profit educational organization founded by iconic filmmaker David Lynch. The compilation has been re-mastered for vinyl, and includes a previously unreleased bonus track from Sean Lennon’s “Ghost of the Saber Tooth Tiger,” as well as an exclusive new release from Julio Iglesias Jr. via digital download.
